Another yellow cough survivor, Ashfur is a descendant of the previous leader and deputy, Thunderstar and Gingerheart. Being the only male in his litter, Ashfur trained as best and as hard as he could to be able to protect his sisters, but was rewarded with something bigger when Sparrowstar asked him to serve as deputy.

Aspenleaf was originally a loner who lived near the border of SkyClan. He was known by his "living group" as Blind 'Lil Aspen and he hated it, though he never got angry at anyone. To prove that his blindness didn't hold him back, he had his older sister, Leaf, teach him everything she knew about everything. He was especially drawn to herbs and healing. Later, he left his group and joined a very wise, aged she-cat who was known as Light. He learned from her for about twelve moons before he ventured back to his group. When he arrived, his entire group had been wiped out by a deadly illness known as yellowcough. He moved on, found SkyClan, and changed his name to Aspenleaf. This was for many reasons. It was the color of his blind eyes, his sister was Leaf, and he had been given the rank of medicine cat. Now, he lives peacefully, finally able to fulfill his dream of helping others.
